Where is the starter on a 1994 Plymouth sundance?
I have a 94 Plymouth sundance duster. I am sure the location is the same. It should be right behind your oil filter underneath the engine. If you jack the front end up and slide underneath, you should see it behind the oil filer.
If yo have the six cylinder the above is true. If you have a four cylinder the starter is under the manifolds on the rear of the engine.
Have a gem car e 825 new battery's it will not start?
Have a gem electric car, model E825 with new batteries but it will not start.

Saturn 2000 station wagon - security system?
I have a problem with a 2000 LW1 saturn. It's an intermittent problem. Ocassionally will not start until today. Today the car had to be towed, it would crank over but not start. The crank position sensor and control module have been changed. The problem is still there. The fuel pressure is at 55 (between 50 and 60) so that rules out fuel pump and fuel filter. Not sure if it is getting spark. I used a spark tester and it didn't look like it was getting a spark. I was told it may be a temp sensor? Not sure what to look at next! Please help!!

Ford starter motor turns but doesn't engage engine and the flywheel and starter are fine what next?
thanks how many holding blots and where
bad bendix (starter drive) if the spring in the starter bendix is weak or broken it will not engage the flywheel; but the starter will turn normally. bad thing is ,you have to pull the starter..good luck..
When a Car sounds and feel rough and shaky what could the problem be.?
Needs new plugs, plug wires. Needs a tune up, needs the carburetor adjusted, needs higher octane fuel. It could have a plug wire or wires connected to the wrong one. It could need a new fuel filter.
Mine was the starter on 1996 I30. I downloaded the schematic diagrams for the electrical system. I took out fuse #17 (10 Amp) which basically shut down the anti-theft (start) and it still didn't start. After checking that fuse #33 (7.5 Amp) was good, I replaced the starter and it's working fine. The only other thing it could be is the inhibitor switch (Park or Neutral switch) so try both positions and if it doesn't start in either Park or Neutral, it's probably the starter unless you have a stick instead of an automatic. In stick shifts, there is another switch linked to the clutch...that can stop it from starting.
I can insert the key into the ignition but it will not start the car. Why can't I start my car?
First, make sure you have the correct key.
If the key does not turn, try pulling the steering wheel left or right while turning it - the steering lock may be jamming the ignition switch. If this doesn't help, your ignition switch may be broken.
If the key does turn, check to see if the dash lights come on and whether the starter is turning the engine over. If you see no lights or if you see lights but the starter makes no noise, most likely your battery is dead.
If the engine cranks but does not start, check to see if you have gas in the tank. If you do have gas, you need to decide whether you want to continue diagnosing this yourself or if it's time to call your mechanic.
Sounds like you probably need a new starter. when you take the starter off the steering wheel it may ge tricky and you may break a clip taking it apart so you might want to find out how to remove it. most americna car starters on the steering colum are fairly simple to r&r once the cover is removed. they have nipples on the starter so it only goes in one way, however familarize yourself as to how you remove it. Usually the starter is not that expensive it's the labor that bites you. The job shouldn't take more than a hour at the most.
Tools: ususlly a flat head screwdriver and a very sharp (pointed) item to depress the holding pin on the starter. Various flat/Philips I don't know about your expedition I've only done Chevy's and my corvette.
Help my chrysler neon wont start and i also have no spark on all the cylinders someone please help?
try distribitor cap/ or coil pack, take a plug wire off hold with rubber glove to see if there is a spark in the wire when you try to start , if there is no spark try distributor/ coil pack
How do you know if the starter is not working in a Sunfire?
If the starter isn't working, the car will not crank at all. When you turn the key you will either get a clicking sound (which could also mean a dead battery), or you will hear the sound of an electric motor spinning and nothing else.

Why my 1997 king quad fwd won't start Has spark and gas?

How do you figure out if car starting problem is solenoid?
Sometimes the cylinoid will make a loud whine or humming when engaged if bad but the best way to tell is to remove it and have it tested.
You need at least 6 gallons to get to the level of the fuel filter pump in the tank, If you try to do this with less than 6 gallons all your doing is wearing down your battery.
How do you manually start the starter to make a car start?
Jump the wires on the starter solenoid - Jumper wire connected the large cable running to the starter and the smaller "trigger" wire
The solenoid in most vehicles today is located ON the starter. If you attempt the aforementioned answer, BE CAREFUL.
Why does the car make a thudding noise when put into first gear?
Thuds under torque, as when the car is put into drive, can be casued by too much engine movement due to damaged, weak or broken engine or transmission mounts.
Why would cavalier dash lights come on then care goes dead and won't crank?
I would first consider that the car stalled BEFORE the lights came on.
You might have a bad ignition switch or loose connection at the battery.
discharged or inoperative battery
inoperative starter
poor connection between starter and [ground or] battery positive
no 12V+ to starter S terminal (possibly bad ignition switch or aftermarket alarm)
What can be the cause if your car won't start and it clicks?
Weak battery, bad connection Bad starter
How do you remove-install a fuel pump in a 1991 Chevrolet Lumina Euro?
That has a 3.1L DOHC, right? Either way, to the best of my knowledge all Luminas has a fuel pump in the tank. Remove the tank from the car, then remove the lock ring to get the "tank unit" or "fuel pump assy" out of the tank.
If you got a complete unit, you'll know what to do from there. If you got a (PITA) basic pump kit, you'll have a folded up sheet of paper in the same box with detailed instructions (possibly in multiple languages) explaining what to do, but above all be patient.
Also, remember that you should have no fire or electrical equipment near gasoline vapors, so don't use them when doing this job. Also, work in a ventilated area as concentrated fuel vapors indoors can affect you thinking and cause feinting or death.
After replacing the fuel pump, you may need to crank the engine for longer than normal for it to start the first time. It is a good idea to replace the fuel filter any time you replace the pump.
While you have the pump out of the tank, use a very low voltage (no more than two 1.5V batteries) to look inside the tank. If there's and sediment or debris in there, clean it out.
