Why is my 86 Mazda rx7 coolant over flow fills up to the point that it over flows and over heats new radiator new rad cars and new thermostat?

The impellers on the water pump could be rusted out and you're not getting coolant flow. The head gasket could have blown out if the engine overheated. Overheating the engine, especially many of the more "flimsey" foreign engines, will cause the head to warp resulting in head gasket failure. You can get a test strip that will sense carbon monoxide in the coolant. If you find carbon monoxide in the coolant, the head gasket is leaking. nope rotarys dont have head gaskets !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! or pistons either!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! check for air in system. radiator has bleed valve on the side of inlet pipping (top hose) undo valve and fill coolant until it comes out of bleed valve, close bleed valve and top coolant off, to better insure that air is out of system, due to angle of that means raise front end of vehicle make shure that rad cap is off and heater is on at full blast hot, start engine and let it run until air is out of system and thermostat is fully opened, can determined by bubbles coming up in radiator fill housing (where the rad cap goes) once coolant all goes down and is at constant flow then thermostat is fully opened, shut off engine top off and cap it up.

How do you drain the antifreeze from a 1998 Ford Contour?

make sure its completely cold 1 remove the expansion tank release the presure by taking the expansion cap off then put it back on after it equilized disconect the hoses upper first let them leak into a pan un screw the tanks 2 mounting bolts and unplug the coolant level sensor if you have one. make sure u rinse it out good then replace it

2 take the radiator lower shield then put ur drain pan under it and unscrew the radiator drain plug it should be on the passenger rear if i can rember correctly

3 flush the radiator out with water till its just clean water coming out of it then put the plug back in and button it up, i just flushed it threw the expansion tank since that's where u have to add the radiator fluid 50/50 mix

ok for ur car if its an auto I 4 its 7 quarts and the v6 is about 9-10 quarts the manual 2.0 is 7 quarts and the 2.5 is 8-9 quarts

Why 2001 ford focus transaxle cooling system light coming on and then the car thermostat reads that its overheating overheating?

Check your owner's manual. The symptoms you describe sound like those that indicate that the "Fail Safe Cooling System" is being activated by high engine temp. Check your coolant level AND make sure the water pump hasn't failed.

Why does the heater just blow cold air?

one because it is set on air only .. u need to shift it to warm first the RED mark...Secondly your heater wire must have come loose in the electricals. you should check out blendor store.com we had the same problem with our jeep, very helpful.

Where can you find the radiator to put fluid in it on a 1996 Volkswagen Jetta?

you can not put it directly into the radiator you have to fill the overflow bottle located near the firewall on the drivers side of the car The Jetta does have a round "plastic bottle" tank in the engine compartment that holds the systems water. This tank has a Max and Min mark. Only use the coolant (water and atifreez mixture) reccomended by manufature as norlmal water will eventualy cause rusting in the system.

How to flush radiator coolant on 1997 Buick LeSabre?

dont!! just use cool clear garden hose water. then replace with coolant mix.

Thereis a thumb-nut on the engine side, lower rightside ( when standing in front of the car facing the engine) Stuff will get everywhere

Really? No one had a problem with the above being passed off as an answer? Please. Keep your opinions to yourself children. 1. If you wish to flush your radiator and cooling system, familiarize yourself with your vehicle by asking a mechanic or two, and getting a repair manual, such as a Haynes manual. 2. If you have any doubt in your confidence to approach the problem on your own, you should take your vehicle to a licensed repair shop for the flush, most oil change shops offer this service 3. Please disregard the "answer" about hose water. First, unless your homes pipes are completely screwed, the water from a garden hose should always be clear. Two, the real issue the man child who originally posted neglected to mention is that "clear hose water" typically has dissolved solids that are invisible such as calcium (the white scum on your shower head nozzle, that is, if you shower) and you do not want these minerals to form deposits in your cooling system. So.... Every guide says to - - USE DISTILLED WATER ONLY!- That and most flush kits feature complete directions. - this post helpfully edited by a concerned Internet citizen who is sick to death of low double digit IQs, opinionated 12 going on 40 year olds, and mentally incapable, inexcusable wastes of oxygen found online these days, spewing out useless opinion, drivel, and crap. How do you bleed the cooling system in a 1994 Peugeot 306 XL?

bleeding cooling system,peugeot306XL 94there are two points to release air in the cooling system. you fill up the system on the left side of the radiator. on the opposite side of the radiator at the top is a plastic plug. u need to twist it out to reveal a hole looking down into the right hand side of the radiator. that's the fist bleed point. the second is at the top of the engine bay. if you stand where the cooling filler point is and look staraight up u will see a few small plastic and rubber hoses running along the engine bay (just below the wipers). on one of them is another bleed point which will unscrew by hand or if needed can be undone with a flat head screw driver. after these two point have been opened you need to fill the cooling system with whatever mixture of water and coolant you decide to use. one u have filled the radiator to the max line you will be able to see the same level on the right hand side in the bleeding point.start the engine and idle between 1,500 and 2,500 by pulling the accelerator cable and moving the retaining clips at the injector which sits at the top of the engine. the cable runs over the engine and to the front and underneath. you cant miss it.when the engine runs you will see the coolant begin to drops as it pushes its way around the system. gently put the plug back in on the right of the radiator. don't push it tight. the coolant will eventually overflow and when it has a constant stream push the plug in tight. now you must wait for the same to happen at the second bleeding point. when you get a constant stream of coolant tighten the screw back up but be careful. by the time the coolant reaches the second point it will probably be hot. REMEMBER to keep the coolant topped up as high as possible as gravity will not let the coolant overflow on the first bleed point otherwise. it may help more if the car is tilted slightly so that the bleed point is lower than the filler tank. if you are having trouble a trick is to cut a large plastic drinks bottle in half a push the top into the filler tank. then fill the bottle. the water level will be higher in the bottle and will allow the bleed point to overflow. the plastic bottle will need to be as air tight as possible.

after the cooling system is bled like this put the accelerator back into the original position and run the car. if it overheats there may still be air in the system so undo the bleeding points and repeat the process. theres no need to drain the system!!!

this process looks a bit long but once you have done it once you will see how easy it actually is.

HOPE THIS HELPS!!!

Why does my car surge and won't start replaced thermostat and radiator?

When the thermostat and radiator were replaced, coolant could have dripped into an electrical connector or a sensor could be disconnected or damaged. Check the temperature sensor and crankshaft sensors first.
