If your engine is still running, and you do not hear all kinds of clicking sounds that signal that the engine is not having oil pumped through the passages and up to the rocker arms and so forth thus the prelude to an engine freeze, it is the dash cluster. They have about 5 ground wires and it is hard to find places to attach them so that they will work right. Things loosen over time and this results in gauges that stop working or do not work as they should. It will only get worse. The best thing to do is go on ebay. You will find shops, that will send you a rebuilt dash cluster and take yours in exchange. I know, I have had this and roughly a million other things fixed on my '85 vette. Unless you know what you are doing, have it done. Or, it could be just a loose ground wire for that specific gauge. Take care and good luck.

Have you tried having the wheels balanced ?

coolant fan not working change the temperature sender located on the engine ( follow the wires from the fan ) failing that the cylinder head could be warped check for water in the engine oil ( oil looks like mayonaise)or check if theirs any trace of steam from the exhaust when hot Try replacing the water pump too.

Remove the radio and see if everything is normal. If yes put another one (known to be working well) in and see if the car starts. If yes then the older radio is faulty. If not then get the electrical system (including battery alternator) thoroughly checked.

Answer First, be absolutely certain that the battery is ok. Try a jump-start using some good cables and someone else's vehicle battery with a good charge. If the starter still won't engage and you're hearing the clicking of the starter solenoid then just about the only thing left is the starter. If you haven't replaced a starter before, either have someone do it for you or get a friend to help who has a little experience. It isn't a difficult process but there are a few steps that demand experience.

Be sure that both ends of both battery cables are clean and tight.

Many automatic transmissions use a cooler inside the vehicles radiator to help maintain the transmissions temperature. The transmission pumps ATF thru the cooler. If a leak occurs in the trans cooler the ATF is pumped into the radiators coolant. The engine coolant can also mix with the trans ATF and enter the transmission the same way in which case would be fatal for the transmission.

You need to go to a car parts store, and get a repair manual for your car. They cost about $16.00

Do you have a modern car equipped with a computer? Somtimes if a car is welded on and the - battery cable isn't disconnected, it can damage sensitive computer components. This could be a very costly and difficult thing to diagnose and repair. Chris
